Q: Does NSS offer 1/2 day studio rates?
A: Depending on studio availability – yes
Q: Is it possible to get a tour of the studio
A: Depending on our production schedule – yes
Q: Does NSS Offer “on site” satellite uplink, downlink, and fiber delivery services?
A: Yes, in both HD and SD satellite and fiber services.
Q: Can we just use NSS editing facilities and not the studio?
A: Yes (and you can shoot at NSS and not have to edit with us).
Q: Can NSS stream my project?
A: Yes, we provide that service.
Q: Is wireless internet available for client use?
A: Yes, throughout the entire facility (studios, offices, post)
Q: How much parking space is available for audience?
A: We can handle up to 300 cars (free of charge)
Q: Does NSS offer Lighting and Grip services or is a Grip Truck required?
A: NSS has Lighting and Grip support for any requirement.
Q: Can NSS produce and broadcast “live” productions?
A: Yes, we have the ability to shoot and broadcast live studio productions (and stream) .
Q: Can NSS do short notice live shots or media tours?
A: Yes, we are available 24/7
Q: Can I crew my own productions?
A: Yes, however all crew members using our equipment must be fully certified. We would be glad to provide you with competitive crewing rates
Q: Can my production be shot, edited and uplinked in HD?
A: Yes, every point of production and transmission can be produced, edited and transmitted in HD here at NSS
Q: How far is NSS from downtown and the airport?
A: We are 10 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes from the airport
Q: Do you have staff writers?
A: We generally freelance out our writing support
Q: Can you actually cook on your cooking sets?
A: Yes, we have fully functional kitchen sets, equipment and running water
Q: Do you have production offices available for use?
A: Yes, we have fully appointed production offices for our clients to use while in production
Q: Do you have your own teleport?
A: Yes, we own and operate our own teleport (on site).
Q: Do you have fiber connectivity?
A: Yes, we have a robust amount of fiber connectivity.
Q: Do you do syndication play out?
A: Yes, we have many syndication play-out clients
Q: Does Tennessee offer production incentives?

Q: Does NSS provide DVD authoring and duplication services?
A: Yes
Q: Does NSS rent out its edit suites without using its editors?
A: Rarely, but if we do, it is generally during the second shift.
Q: Can NSS provide “above the line” support?
A: Yes, we have producers, directors and writers available if needed.
Q: I’m a freelancer, how do I get hired at NSS?
A: Go to our employment section and fill out the online freelancer application
Q: Can I rent a “box rental” only?
A: On occasion we do box rentals.
Q: Can clients use your house sets, props and furniture?
A: We have house sets available and as long as the client can augment or make the set look unique then yes, we can work with you. Yes, we have props and furniture that clients can rent.
Q: Do we have to use your caterer?
A: No, you are welcome to bring your own caterer as long as they follow proper food handling care.
Q: Do I have to provide catering for our production?
A: No, clients can do what is called a “crew walk away break” if they so chose.
Q: What kind of hair and make-up artists do you use?
A: We freelance our make-up artists. All have experience in HD and understand and have experience in working with a variety of skin tones and hair textures.
Q: If we have special catering or dietary needs can you accommodate us?
A: Absolutely, with enough advance notice we can support any special dietary request
